Fleury-sur-Orne
Stele erected to commemorate and thank the many refugees from Caen and elsewhere for their protection. In the quarries located on the territory of the commune. We're talking about 10 to 12,000 peopleconfined for several weeks, from June 06 to July 19, 1944. Their liberation came from the 5th Canadian Infantry Brigade.
