Passers-by, Beware, Respect these places.On this very spot, 20 French Resistance fighters and one English paratrooper were shot on July 29, 30 and 31, 1944, by German occupation troops . Their bodies were thrown into the 5 pits surrounding this stele. Exhumed on August 10, as soon as the hour of the liberation sounded, they were taken to MOËLAN where their solemn funeral took place.
