Stele in memory of 1st Lt Billy Vincent, American pilot of the P-47 Thunderbolt “Sweet Shirlee” of the 366th fighter group of the 9th US Air Force Army, shot down by the FLAK at La Martinière on August 13, 1944.
His parachute failed to open, and his body was found in a farm in Lignières-orgères.
