Crash Lancaster ED377

Stele in memory of the British crew of Lancaster ED377, 101 Squadron, Royal Air Force, shot down by a Messerschmitt BF110 night fighter on June 28, 1943. The plane crashed at Les Dauderies, with only one survivor (James Norman Sparkes).

Sergeant Kenneth William Gadson, machine gunner, age 19, killed in action.
Sergeant Kenneth Davd Selwyn Mordecai, mechanic, age 21, killed in action.
Sergeant James Norman Sparkes, Bombardier (managed to return to England via Spain).
