Stele in tribute to the American crew of B-17 Fortress n°42-5717 of the 306th Bomb Group, 423rd Bomb Squadron of the 8th US Air Force Army, shot down on February 16, 1943 by a German fighter and the FLAK.

★ S/Sgt William E Williams, machine-gunner, rests in Saint-James American Cemetery (Plot I, row 7, grave 11).
★ S/Sgt Walter C Morgan, machine-gunner, rests in the USA.

★ 1st LT Robert E Kylius, bombardier (returned to England)
★ T/Sgt Edward F Espitallier, Radio, prisoner.

On the same site, there is a stele in tribute to the German crew of a Junker 88a1 which crashed near the Guillac cemetery on August 26, 1940.
