Crash B 17 Scrappy Mike
On the war memorial this plaque in memory of eight American airmen, from the 326th Bomber Squadron of the 92nd Bomber Group of the 8th US Air Force ,battled on August 13, 1944 by the FLAK in the vicinity of Saint-Clair de Halouze .
From the RAF Podington Base in England. Three members of the crew are buried in the Colleville American Cemetery. Only one man HARTLINE MAXWELL O "MAX" jumped by parachute and survived but was made prisoner.
