Stalag 325

The Stalag 325(German: Kriegsgefangenen-Mannschafts-Stammlager 325; Russian: Шталаг 325) was a concentration camp for Soviet, Belgian, French and Serbian prisoners of war created by the German military command, which existed in Lviv, a city in the Ukrainian region of Galicia, in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, from March 1942 to February 1944.From July 1941 to April 1942, between 18,000 and 24,000 Soviet prisoners of war are detained at Rava-Rouska, most of them to their deaths.
In March 1942, a notice is posted in the stalags. By order of the Berlin OKW, dated March 21, 1942, escaped French and Belgian prisoners who were repeat offenders, or guilty of sabotage or repeated work refusal, were to be transferred to Rawa-Ruska and its subcamps.
Rawa-Ruska thus became the deportation camp for repeat French and Belgian escapees, deemed irretrievable by the occupying forces.
