It was from this house south of the Foy church, that the German sniper fired on numerous soldiers of the Easy Company. He will be shot down by Darrell C. "Shifty" Powers of the 101st airborne (Easy Company) using Lipton Carwoodas "bait". Scene made famous by the Band of Brother's series:
