Ploudaniel Cemetery

The Ploudaniel communal cemetery houses the graves of the crew members of the Walrus I L2312 of the 810 Squadron of the Royal Air Force crashed following FLAK fire on June 18, 1940:
Flight Lieutenant John Napier BELL,  Royal Australian Air Force, 24 years
Sergeant Charles William HARRIS, Royal Australian Air Force, 31years
Corporal Bernard Felix NOWELL, Royal AIr Force, 25 years
Captain N.E HOPE, Intelligence Corps.

This plane had the secret mission of evacuating Yvonne De Gaulle, who returned to England by sea the following day.
