Former French fortification reused by the German occupiers during the Second World War. The complex comprises a low battery, an under-rock breaking battery and a high battery at the top of the cliff. Underground network and powder magazine under rock. Nearby, at water level, a torpedo-launching battery prohibits the crossing of the Brest Narrows. A pleasant walk, but you'll need sturdy walking shoes. Steep slope to reach the low battery and path through thorny bushes.
