Former French fortification on Cherbourg's Grand Dyke, reused by the occupying army in 1940. 4 x 9.4 cm Vickers M39(e) guns, 1 x 60 cm searchlight and 1 x 150 cm. Stp281 coded strongpoint defended by 37 mm Flak in tanks. The Germans reused the former French multi-level fire direction post equipped with goniometric telescopes and a telemeter. Military grounds.
