Kommandantur Pont l'Abbé

The Saint-Gabriel school had been requisitioned by the Wehrmacht to make it the Kommandantur.
A plaque recalls these events:

Here in 1944, Frenchmen arrested by German soldiers, were imprisoned, tortured, assassinated.
Others were deported and died far from this land they wanted to liberate from Nazi oppression.
The memory of two of these patriots
Louis MEHU mayor of Plomeur
Louis LARNICOL public schoolteacher, is remembered in the garden next door.
